ABOUT THE FLOWER WARS: COUNCIL OF THE AZTEC EMPIRE

The Flower War, or Xōchiyāōyōtl in Nahuatl, was a series of ritualistic conflicts between the Aztec Triple Alliance and its enemies, city-states Tlaxcala, Huejotzingo, and Cholula. The Aztec Empire Council represents the leadership of the mighty Triple Alliance, formed in 1428 by the city-states of Tenochtitlan, Texcoco, and Tlacopan. Delegates of this committee must embody the might of the Aztec civilization at its peak. This includes organizing and participating in the Flower Wars, maintaining political control, appeasing the gods, and providing military training. As delegates engage in these Mesoamerican conflicts, they must consider: Will their strategy of perpetual warfare strengthen the empire or sow the seeds of its downfall?
